Mount Sinai West

Our patients give birth at Mount Sinai West (formerly Mt Sinai Roosevelt) Hospital in their state-of-the-art labor and delivery suite now that Mount Sinai West has consolidated their Birthing Center and Labor & Delivery units.  We commit to being with you at the hospital throughout your whole labor & birth.

MSW's improved Labor & Delivery suite now offers continuous and intermittent fetal heart monitoring, bathtubs & showers in each labor room, as well as nitrous oxide and epidurals for pain relief.  As midwives we are specialists in low intervention birth, and we bring a host of tools to support you in birthing in whatever way you choose.

We highly recommend taking the hospital tour if you are considering coming to our practice. The tour is offered frequently and can be done at any stage of pregnancy (or even before). Information can be found by calling 212-523-6091.

Fees and Insurance Policy

The cost of pregnancy care is a concern for many of our clients.  It is helpful for our clients to fully understand their benefits (copays, out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, etc) before starting their prenatal care.  You can obtain your benefits, both in and out of network, by calling your insurance company directly. It is helpful to obtain this information before contacting our office, if possible.

We work with an experienced medical biller who will help you to understand your benefits and associated costs. He is happy to speak to anyone with billing questions.

If we do not accept your insurance or you do not have out-of-network benefits, we still want to hear from you. We can often help you find a way to get coverage or discuss an out-of-pocket fee for any kind of visit, including gynecology and maternity care.

Central Park Midwifery teams up with Cosmos Midwifery!

In order to best serve the needs of our diverse client population as folks in many different family structures decide to grow their families through pregnancy, former Central Park Midwifery midwife Chloë Lubell CNM is now offering IUI through her new practice, Cosmos Midwifery.

What is IUI?
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is a means of conceiving with either frozen sperm from a known or anonymous donor or fresh sperm that has been washed from a known donor or partner.  It is a gentle procedure that can be done safely and comfortably in your own home.  Chloë Lubell will come to you for the initial intake visit to discuss your health history, your lifestyle, and your needs & desires in order to best boost your fertility.  Afterwards, as you begin to try to conceive, either Chloë or one of her backup midwives will come to your home in order to perform the IUI or help you with an ICI or IVI (Intracervical or Intravaginal Inseminations) as appropriate."
