Fees and Insurance
The cost of maternity care is a concern for many of our clients. We do participate "in-network" with some insurance plans and for others we participate "out-of-network". If you are using out-of-network benefits, many plans will cover 50-80% of your maternity care costs. Some insurance plans do not offer out-of network benefits at all. It is helpful for our clients to fully understand their benefits (copays, out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, etc) before starting their prenatal care so that there are no surprises at the end. You can obtain your benefits, both in and out of network, by calling your insurance company directly. It is helpful to obtain this information before contacting our office, if possible.
We also work with an experienced medical biller who will help you to understand your benefits and associated costs. He is happy to speak to anyone with billing questions.
If we do not accept your insurance or you do not have out-of-network benefits, please still give us a call. We can often help you find a way to get coverage or discuss an out-of-pocket fee schedule for any kind of visit, including gynecology and maternity care.
